Here are my photos from this weekend at RRG
I had a great weekend! Convoyed down with up to 13 cars on Saturday morning with only one (temporary) breakdown with the sweet bus, arrived in the pouring rain at lunchtime, hid in a friend's boot for a while, then luckily the rain stopped and we set up camp
We had many a-wander around the cars on the campsite, and visited the Haynes Museum which is HUGE and awesome, then walked up to a local pub for dinner before settling down at camp with a few cans
Loved all the ridiculous projects zooming around the field, and the Area 52 camp was a sight to behold
Amazingly slept well in the tent, with only one small interruption to listen to some geordies chatting about our cars outside our tent ;D and got up bright and early to pack up and head across the road.
Our "GT Drivers" stand was a success, with three 205s, two 309s, three mk1 Astras, and one mk3 Golf all making it over. Would like to thank the people who came over to the stand to talk Pug with us, I think we had the only Peugeot stand? And the Golf's bonnet was a popular talking point as well
We watched a fair amount of track action, the only disappointment being that we couldn't take our cars on with lack of equipment (and the Goodwood's lack of functioning rear suspension), next year I'll get on track and see if I can master some lift-off oversteer drift round there
I know it's TL;DR but I just wanted to share my story of the weekend, it was awesome so thanks to the organisers for organising, Haynes for hosting, and everyone for being there and making it fun GROUP HUG!!!! ... Alright, maybe too far.
Anyway here are a few of my favourites:
