Massively chuffed with my result! Didn't expect that much what with the complete lack of antiroll bars, cheap suspension on bumpstops and stupidly skinny tyres! Gotta say a big big thanks to BC and other helpers, they pulled out all the stops and worked hard to make sure we could still get on track after all the setbacks. Legends!

27th in Class - that is hilarious ;D ;D I have spent a lot of money tuning my engine, and a lot of effort stripping weight from the car. The whole time I didn't realise that I was such a slow driver and it is me that needs the improving ;D ;D Roll on next year to try for 26th!

31/32 oops Fastest and only family shaped modest diesel in class though yeah? and only a few places behind Robs 318is, puts it into perspective. I won't be doing it again in that car again, always thought it was a decent handler for a bigish car, but wobbly tyres and little real feedback, it doesn't like the limit much as standard. plus 4000++rpm all way round was a worry when I glanced at the clocks!Great fun glad I got chance to put old girl through her paces!

Massive thanks to Ian also for the orgaisation of the track fun, and to the other guys who helped get all the cars into the track section etc! I have to agree with andy - your comments make complete sence, and you seem to have the same pholosophy to me with putting your car on the track! Congrats on taking the top place also dude!! Thanks again to all involved for making it such fun, I havent had as much fun ever as i did this weekend. The cavalier didnt do too bad either, although the drive home with no exhaust did give me a headache and make me deaf tho!

hahah dr sexy beat hardcore ;D Andy is gonna be gutted ;D I may not have that the right way round as it got very confusing especially as one min it would run and then next it was dead on the line and a whole bunch of people were working on it Nah, from what I saw on your points sheet on the day I think you got it right mate - Sexy takes it fair & square he's obviously got 'the knack' (his car after all) as on my 2nd & 3rd runs, which felt waaay faster than the first (oppo required!) the Mighty Midge completely bogged down coming out of the last corner & I was down to 1st gear both times before I could get it going again Ian (& team) - thanks again for all your efforts, what a fantastic day! & thanks again to Dr. Sexy for letting me raz your (electrically challenged) Midge round the track! Next year.. Benzo skidtimes ;D

Sexy takes it fair & square he's obviously got 'the knack' (his car after all) as on my 2nd & 3rd runs, which felt waaay faster than the first (oppo required!) the Mighty Midge completely bogged down coming out of the last corner & I was down to 1st gear both times before I could get it going again Your first run attracted 10 points for messing up the box stop but was way better than your 2nd and 3rd - clean and tidy is the way to go rather than loads of sliding and handfulls of "oppo"

I'll see if I can wangle a blast in the Benz next year Thanks again to BC for organising it, great work! RoB

I'm very dissapointed with the GS's result, most probably caused due to me misunderstanding the box stop system. Well, at least it's still in one piece now. I looking forward to seeing the points awarded per car.
(I'm posting from my parent's place were we're having a one night stop on the way home)

I did cheat a bit with the locost didn't I.... Thanks Ian for letting me out on the track! Its a pity i can't drive it to it's full potential due to being a bit of a wimp with the loud pedal, and i was having trouble with the throttle cable coming loose on the carbs causing the jerkiness on light throttle. Hopefully i'll be able to push it harder next year when i've grown some balls. Was really disappointed that the 205 broke, was looking forward to trying to challenge Andy again but at least i managed to get it home ok. We recon it objected to the 'for sale' sign in the window had a great time out in Rob's E30 though, completely different to anything i'd ever driven before! Round of applause for Ian once again for giving us lot an oppotunity to thrash our cars in a safe environment There's a lot more I could say but I'm typing on a phone in deepest darkest cider country and this has taken me half an hour!
