I think I was the only Alfa in the whole ground. I had lots of interest. She done the round trip and didn't miss a beat (thankfully) Thanks to the chumps who said they were meeting a Fleet Services on M3? where were you then. I checked both sides not a retro car in sight? Right time - right place - just made me do an extra 60 miles for nothing guys cheers.

The journey of 1000 miles starts with a single coffee.
I don't like coffee!

Thanks for bringing your alfa, it looked ace. I'd love for more to come, but they seem to be a difficult nut to crack to get more there ... at least we had some more Italian friends for you though

All the other suds, Sprints and 33's went to Chasworth House Boxer meet. I was going there to but RR sent me a flyer with an RR sticker the other week, I subsequently forgot about the Alfa meetup? Doh! Does anyone know who and what won the prizes. I was driving in as they were being dished out. I said to the bloke on the gate 'how can they be giving out prizes, I have only just got here?' My car is slammed as much as possible, it's probably the rarest car in here by a country mile, it's in top condition and it's the car most middle aged men that were wandering about at show who in the 1980's had when they were my age today. Also there are custom Morette headlights from Mk4 Ford escort RS Turbo, that you would not know they were not the original Sud lights. Also my sud was 1 of 30 specials made in 1984 and had the factory fibreglass kit fitted. I have high lifting cams and venturi manifold and stainless exhaust. There are mean't to be less than 200 Suds in Uk and only about 36/7 that are roadworthy although the AO forum states 80 odd but my instinct is most of these are scrappers or pipe dreams. There are a handful with this kit on today that survived the UK's wet climate. I bet the Black mustang dragster did well prize wise - I bet it goes to alot of shows and Santa Pod those - It was a really nice Mustang but there ten a penny an American Saxo or Corsa I would put money on it going to a 60/70's Skyline if the magazine picked prizes

Are you just in it to win it?

Are you just in it to win it? Indeed... we're not that show. For those that are interested the prize winners will be up on the website and in the forum later (should be today, maybe tomorrow depending on photo availability).

seems a lot of frustration about not winning any prizes when didnt arrive until late afternoon that mustang isn't quite ten-a-penny, it does 9.6 second 1/4 mile on pump fuel ;D it was there to show what the huxley's can do, aswell as the other motors they had there.

Great show, although I think I was a bit cocky driving a car which had been standing 27 years on a 360 mile motorway journey. (Datsun 120Y estate) one of the tyres failed on the M4 on way home! Luckily had spare and the original tools so we sorted it in no time but decided to keep her under 70 rest of the way incase another one went.

I don't think anyone talked about a convoy on the Sunday Oh, and by the way, I was one of the Award winners. My car is nowhere near as rare as yours, and has nowhere near the heritage of yours, slower (I drove around the track like I was Driving Miss Daisy) less original, and is clearly far further down the food chain than yours, but it seemed to make people smile ;D

Can't be as quick as he's said , we left Havant at 8.30 ( about 4 miles from Hayling ) and made the Gathering by 10.30 in a couple of old bangers ? We left BEFORE prize giving as that wasn't why we went. I REALLY hope Breeze just has strange sense of humour ?
