Owner's forums are funny places arn't they.
I just got on the wrong end of the purists by asking if BMW rims would go on my Omega. Apparently Vauxhall know better than I what wheels should be on there LOLZ.
I'd forgotten about people with those attitudes.
Anyway Omega is 5x110mm not 5x120 as I had thought. So anyone know whats a donor source of 5x110 rimz... I vaguely reckon the S type Jag does....

Well, I have these in 5x112... Merc/Audi fitment. Some ridiculously rare Cromodora's that no one seems to want to buy!

from memory the Stype shares the ford 5x108 pcd as does volvo. 2mm don't seem to make mch difference on 5 stud. seen plenty of mercs with carlton or saab wheels on and vice versa, its your call wether its safe of not. so i quess 5x108 be similar.
in reality you want the correct pcd so stick to 5 stud vauxhall or SAAB. plenty of dishy options available

New shape astra steels that they sit under a wheel trim to look like an alloy, bin trim's paint the dish and they look evil, plus they are standard fit steels on a very common car, hmm some extra's heading for banding you say

^^They're ET47 so might be a bit tight on an Omega? Matt If they clear the inside then they'd be great for banding. I'm assuming these are the 5 spoke things that look a bit like porsche cookie cutters?

Thats the puppies, been eyeing one up at work to try on the merc with some wobble bolt's.
I really think the wheel could work on the right car so well.

i know that the zafira has the same stud pattern and you could get some of the 5 spoke steel rims if you like that kinda thing but then not a lot of dish alas but pauld them banded and add to the fun

FWD 5x110 (ie vauxhall 5 stud, all saab) look super poop on a carlton. I used to use 32mm spacers on each side to get my FWD offset rims to sit right. However, IF banding is an option the FWD vauxhall steels have (so far in my experience) cleared the struts. If they clear the front they clear the back. Merc rims fit with wobbles.... however, try before you buy.... I have some lovely merc 17x8s and they rub the front struts (5mm spacer clears it). I AM on maximum camber with compounds the problem. I had some FWD saab rims and with max camber they rubbed the inner balance weights on the struts. I believe new alfas run 5x110 but they are also a super rubs ET. Merc rims are your best option IMHO if you want wide on the cheap. Just realise how much the wobble bolts, wobble lockers and spigots will cost. Also be aware..... modern merc rims are suitable for ball head wheel bolts, whereas most wobble bolts are the taper type. And check those offsets! HTH

Cheers Colonel.
Any idea what the correct offset is on an Omega?
Might just get some slotmags redrilled...
