Those fibreglass roof boxes used by VW Sharan drivers are easily available from Halfords, why not get one of those? Much more secure. oh wait, you where joking... the polo that is supporting that 'boat' looks pretty nice though... like the two tone...

Ahhh...But by virtue of being a consumer, you do 'do' fashion. Unless you're a naked hobo in a cave in the lake district communicating with the internet via mind bullets...You do fashion *n (sorry, just like my semantics) Surely the word you're looking for is hermit rather than 'hobo'? A 'hobo' would be more likely to be a sort of wandering vagrant figure, who by the nature of his vagrant lifestyle probably wouldn't live in the one cave for long and wouldn't avoid social life to the extent of not wearing clothes actually most tramps rely on social contact to survive, and in any case all the tramps I've ever met wore clothes, or maybe it's just because it's cold up here in Scotland. ;D A hermit on the other hand is more likely to live in a cave and shun all social contact, which depending on how hardcore a hermit you are may involve nudity, like the little hermit guy in Monty Python's 'The Life of Brian'. ;D ;D Sorry, just like my semantics. ;D ;D (Of course now Penski will come back at me with an even more pedantic response than mine explaining how he was right in the first place, or it will turn out I misread his post and it said hermit all along or something! ;D ;D) I will agree though that even indeliberately you can find yourself doing, saying or wearing something fashionable. For example, on account of liking The Cure and wearing shiny black combat boots goths tend to gravitate towards me (probably doesn't help that as a teenager I was a goth-ish when I realised that the local goth club was a good place to meet goth chicks. ;D ;D ), on account of being a local politically-suspect dissident type who's often to be found at protests and the like I used to get all sorts of wannabe rebels holding me up as some sort of apostle or something, and due to having long hair and a moustache 70s throwbacks and suicide cult members tend to gravitate towards me like I'm one of them, (the brown Hillman Imp doesn't help! ;D ), all indeliberate and not intended to be fashionable, but rather annoying nonetheless! ;D ;D

Goth chicks are shallow, suggestable, easily-led and will do anything.
Who cares if they look like Marcel Marceau...

Now there's a memorable Penski quote to go along with your one about militant lesbian types. ;D I will agree with the shallow impressionable bit, but I was a teenager at the time. ;D (Now I go after commie chicks! ;D ;D )
