I've traditionally gone to www.socalcarculture.com for great photography from the West Coast rod/custom scene.
Lensman Dave Lindsay has been a bit quieter of late, I guess that may be down to the economic situation meaning there are less events/cars to photograph. He's still to be found at some of the events he's known for covering, but HAS diversified into the world of Classics as well, and recently visited the Porsche 356 Club's 24th annual Concours d'Elegance at Dana Point, CA.....where he snapped this, and to be honest I think I'm in love.
Porsche 904 from 1964/65. Chuck Beck www.beck904.com/produces replicas in the US, but seeing it's at a 356 Concours event I'd guess that was genuine. Powered by a 2-litre quad-cam hemi-head flat-four producing an astonishing 198bhp. According to Wikipedia some racing versions were built in '65 fitted with the 225bhp flat-EIGHT from the 1962 Porsche 804 F1 car, and some also had the flat-six as fitted to the then-new 911. Whatever engine it's running, it's just beyoooootiful.
There are plenty more mouthwatering Zuffenhausen products in the album which you'll find here: public.fotki.com/wackydave/car_shows/car-shows-2010/24th-annual-porsche/
