My GF has just informed me that a punter at her club is selling on of these, know few details but its meant to be low miles. She also informed me that i'm not having it! I have just decided i really want it. What to do! managing to store/use 3 and no money whats a mk5 worth these days? how cool!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Ultra cool! However from what ive seen prices are very low at the moment, plenty of decent mk5s are struggling to be sold on ebay at the moment. Look great lowered 2" on revolutions or some other retro wheelage, 2.3 v6 and 2.8 v6 pop in without a fuss, nice interior on ghia models, big seats, centre arm rest etc. I want one

Buy it! When the missus leaves you, you can park it in her space...
Mk5 'Tina prices have to be going up some time soon. I wonder where all the Mk4's have disappeared to? Never see them around. As GJM said, slot in a nice Cologne... yummy.

just looked on ebay, yeah, reasonable. I don't need it but... Well they are cool, lowered on wide dartboards, t cutted, tune up that pinto a bit etc, it'd be a cool practical fun retro ride. Oh dear....

She also informed me that i'm not having it! :-[ I have just decided i really want it. Typical woman huh? She offers you something and then tells you, you can't have it. Buy it, and say you going to make an investment.......

Yeah it totally is an investment -see the potential! Thanks for inspiration keefy, maybe i'd do a replica of the rough family off 'keeping up appearances'! I'm hoping its a 2 litre or bigger then i'll have to have it. the seller is her old landlord, the best landlord ever. a virtual millionaire that wears old jumpers, bless him. I'm moving to a new place with communal car park and a personal smll garage theres room for three there surely, and its ideal for the show season if theres a spanner in the works with the sierra.

If I had the money, I'd buy one just to upset my neighbours. I'd also buy pillocks storm, cheap car! (I really don't want to see that car leave RR)

It'll be a keeper, even if i will look a bit Ford obsessed! too much potential to pass by with this one, prob is i don't want to sell any of the fleet, so it will be sat in the car park waiting for complaints/abuse!
