Mine's not really into them although she did admit to having a good time at Brands Hatch recently watching the classic racing.
She has a Zafira that does the school run, shopping and work duties for her. Sorted.

Mine has no intrest whatsoever in going to meets,or what I'm up to down in the garage. She like it when it works and you get cool looks from people - that 'quirk' factor, but generally, it is a passion that I alone have.
Having said all that, I don't give a monkeys about America's next top model, come dine with me, shoes and other crud - so you know, whatever.

I don't see that it matters whether the missus likes retro cars or not. Providing she lets you carry on with your hobby without interferring then its all good. She can have her luxuries and crappy soap operas and you can potter about in the garage. It only becomes a problem when they try to stop you from doing something you enjoy. But that goes for any hobby/pastime as resentment will creep in for what she has made you give up. My other half had a retro when I met her and likes going to car meets etc. However in her old age she has warmed to the comforts of modern motoring. She no longer has to defrost the inside of her windowscreen and drive with gloves on and a waterbottle on her lap. Good ole VW... Can't blame her really. Plus its nicer for the kids. If needs must she would go back to a retro as a daily but in an ideal world it would be for summer fun, days out etc. I see that as a good thing really, modern comfort for the mundane chores and a retro for fun. Best of both worlds. She also has no problems with me spending money on my retros so long as there is food on the table for the family. In fact she actively encourages me to enjoy my hobby and will often be found in the garage keeping me company when I am tinkering away and stopping the kids from interferring with sharp objects. It does make life easier having the support but I would be just as happy doing my own thing providing I wasn't made to feel guilty about it. Live and let live.

My girlfriend Kathy bought the Zodiac for me, so I really can't complain!
(I do have to pay her pack one day)
As others have said, she met me last year and she knows that cars are a huge part of my life and who I am. As such, she knows it's something she has to take on board. That said, I do make lots of time for her too, so it's not all bad! She doesn't know too much about them, but she's learning, bless her!
