I kinda like the whole pro touring thing and as this car has the handling package installed I thought the 15" Cragar sawblades were a bit of a retrograde step, dynamically speaking. 16s were factory sit and 17s or 18s look nice on these. ARE Rebels in black would be the WIN but out of my budget right now. The chromies do look in keeping though. I'm not a fan of either movie clones or the bowling ball wheels. There was a guy selling some stock TA wheels on eBay with no takers so I might call him up at some point.
VIP - I understand I missed you up in my neck of the woods Saturday... I was at my parents sadly or I could have rolled by Steve's

Oh and Lewis, cheers for the suggestions. It already has an after market cold air kit, filter, de-cat, and free flowing exhausts.

10mpg - All L98s have the 4 speed OD auto. The 5 speed falls apart fed that much torque. You can have my old cam when I fit a Comp Thumpr or something I assumed yours would be the nicer 305 HO rather than the regular TPI one being as its an IROC? Yeah you're right, but i knew there were a few camaros with the 350 and a manual box built as a trail, but I had it in the back of my mind that there was a trans am with the 'vette 4+3 trans in it? the HO was replaced by the LB9 in 86 and my car is an 87 with an LB9 but the LB9 tpi was a bit more powerful than the old HO anyway 195bhp/275lb/ft...the same 305 in the manual car had 215bhp and 300/lbft, thanks to the 'peanut cam' in mine But you've got a 350 anyway so no probs there!I'll certainly take your cam off your hands, they 're only about $25 on ebay USA but no jolly pain in the backside will ship them... I cant decide on the wheels on yours they look great on the back but the fronts look wrong somehow, I'd try to dind som origionals personally it'd look better and probably handle better, the steering quite vauge on these but they really do stick to the road well..

I'm a Comp Cams Wholesale Warehouse, mate, for your Thumper-ness-cam (and ARE too, if you can get Chevazon to haul them home in his luggage). Love that you're now a fellow 'Yak man! We'll go cruising with one of my Goats and your T/A.

Nice one AK, I gotta say I didn't see that coming. -- this is the kitt replica I worked on , owner then fitted some 16" (i think ) beemer rims with replica pontiac caps looks smart enough I recon Thats a looker, those are those BMW 16's then? Tidy machine, I made it to the Knightcon convention, Halifax last year lads in varying build points/quality. Heres a pic or two. I love KITT but my fave was the low Camaro

3rd gen F body. WIN Bright red. WIN Stance. WIN Huge IROC-like 5 spokes, tucking some rubber. WIN "realistic" flames: PHAIL Photo saved to c:\photos\Pontiac\Inspiration I need to locate the rear spoiler. I assume someone does a repro in GRP as the original is foam and goes like Capri spoilers do, and mine has done, and is thus missing. And I have droopy headliner. You have a choice with these cars, squeaky-leaky T-Tops or headliner that flops on your head.

The guy behind that Camaro was really nice, its been in build a long time and some good ideas in it, he's ready to build summat else next! Personally I'd not do flames, but it was well done and what he wanted. Good inspiration in that car.

And I have droopy headliner. You have a choice with these cars, squeaky-leaky T-Tops or headliner that flops on your head. I must be the lucky one! My T-tops neither squeak nor leak, even though the chap i got it from told me they leaked?? never let in a single drop in my ownership even in heavy rain at well over the legal limit (on a racetrack of course) When advised it was a good idea I did run a little drop of vaseline round the seals as a precautionary measure, but guess what? it makes you car smell of vaseline... so a squirt of brake cleaner and a rag soon removed that.. The T-tops have been of f all day today though.... Toatlly agree with you on that red one, so close to fall at the last last hurdle.. Major inspiration might need new rims for mine now...

How do you find the side pipes? I'm debating what to do on my camaro exhaust wise at the moment. Are they an issue with speed bumps? Looks lovely btw, very shiney
