So, I spent a week in North Wales and I saw a few things. Many of those things are contained within this post. Some of the things I am sworn to secrecy over.
There didn't seem to be quite the choice tat selection I would have expected although I did see more K10 Micras than I could shake a stick at.
There was a fair selection of maintained classics, a few MGBs, Rover Minis and leaf sprung Landrovers.
Some of the stuff I managed to get the camera out for is as follows...
Split camper on a camp site?
Later dub camper.
early SUV
Early transit beavertail
Vintage, no less.
Bentley wedding car
Leyland Tiger Cub coach in action full of old people.
Not retro but an odd enough thing to spot, and I do like these muchly....
Imagine those are palm trees and this could be Miami
Farms are great places to spot tat
farmer's breadvan
I dig old tractors.
my grandparents were farmers
E30 shares the yard.
rat look van
Am I wrong to think this would make a wild rod?
Ooh, more old tractor action - at the very excellent - and free - Bodofan Farm & wild bird sanctuary.
or inaction
Eye-eye
Spotted this in a model railway exhibition in the Conwy Valley Railway Museum . at Betsw-y-Coed. It appears to be a jacked up NSU Prinz in N gauge. Other suggestions welcome. And BTW the car museum there CLOSED DOWN TWO YEARS AGO.
This cracking dodgem car was also on site. Fireblade engine swap anyone?
One of many K10s
One of many derelict caravans
We went down to Portmerion but sadly the mini mokes have been replaced by Daihatsu Hi-Jets, or whatever this is.
Be seeing you.
Another derelict caravan. No more, OK, OK.
How's this for retro transport? Its the oldest cable operated tram still operating anywhere in the world. Just don't confuse it with a funicular railway....
Someone was asking about S2/S3 Jags, I spotted this one on Mostyn Street in Llandudno during what passes for rush hour there. Nice.
Some retro open top busses.
You see folks on these even in the persistent precipitation, oh foolish tourists...
one for Steve70 if he's reading this...
Don't just think you can come on here to sell your Honda you know...
I saw this a few places and dashing up the A55.
here's that retro tour bus with its retro passengers again
Now come on, you were impressed when I correctly ID'd in the first photo, weren't you?
And here I reveal the magic.
tot rod potential?
even the tyre swing in the park was retro.
One of several tidy MGBs
I only snapped the one so have another photo of it for representative purposes only.
More Sooty-spec stuff
Beemer
Its Perfect and its Mine apparently.
Another old Landy
Range Rover with a number plate which made me laugh.
A nice bike.
and thats all I know of it.
So have some old and ratty trucks for some balance.
More shortly - my day with KfW....
