Great report, although two things:- 1) How could you possibly leave Bob at home. Just think of the chaos he could have caused fun he could have had. 2) even My Little Bottle Opener knows she'd have been sacked.  Too much empty fridge!  |

You had a drinking contest with Pitstop? Oh dear. I’ve seen her in full flow in the VIP tent in Malta. They couldn’t pour it out of the bottle quick enough. I find this information out a fraction too late In defence I am a bit of a lightweight drinking wise |

To be fair I didn’t know in advance the situation might arise so couldn’t issue the warning. Ian obviously failed to mention it Both my daughters have been to uni and since their return have been able to drink many people under the table. I thought everyone knew that. Not sure the above helped the poor aforementioned thumb... or perhaps it did? That was pre-thumb |

Great report, although two things:- How could you possibly leave Bob at home. Bob the Dog goes to a special canine spa run by friends who have lost their dogs to old age and don't want a full-time one now but are always asking me "When is Bob coming to stay again?" There he is treated like a little furry god with treats, walks and belly rubs. The problem is going to get him back as my friends look miserable on my arrival and Bob the Dog runs and hides behind the settee and as I wrestle him to the door with his claws scoring grooves in their parquet flooring the friends look even more miserable. He refuses to jump in the Defender so I have to lift him in, with my back, and then he puts his nose against the rear door glass and whimpers and the friends wave him goodbye. A little psychology is now necessary so I pray that we see a cat or squirrel on the way home and once he's had a good bark at his mortal enemies his goldfish brain resets until the next time. |

It never ceases to amaze me how much grog some young women can sink before they fall over. Even in their teens sometimes. |

Two dry days means winterizing the Goddess. Antifreeze strength - check Remove batteries - check Pump up tyres to 100 psi - check Struggle to put on the new winter coat because Operation Barn was a total failure - check Description said 2.5 x 7.5 metres easy-fit. PAH! Partly on but all over the place  49 minutes later after primping, twitching, smoothing, cursing, tyre kicking, falling off the ladder TWICE and it's on! Not perfect but have to wait until the next big blow for it to show where the weaknesses are and then much strap tightening.  |
