Progress being maintained! Positively storming along now Nice work on the lift. Does that solve all the clearance issues now? We don't know whether it will solve all the problems but it's a start and we can always raise it more if necessary. Got the hybrid Daf / Bedford propshaft cut to length today. Dangerous will align it on bee blocks before welding it back together.

As hairymel requests No bees were harmed during this process Also got the alternator back in to change to the six groove Cummins pulley and got the 12 pieces of 80 Shore A PU cab anti-vibration pads Busy, busy, busy (as bees)

fair enough - every engineer needs his secrets tbh i am a bit scared of making 'custom' driven shafts and my next project will either involve the wholesale swap of a fwd drivetrain/suspension or cutting/shutting driveshafts. i will post up my attempts when i reach that stage @ the apiarium ape-arium

Not much in the way of pictures but strong progress is being made. Dangerous is doing a lot on the side and the beggar keeps forgetting to take photos. New fuel tank here We're getting to the point that we'll start her soon. The steel has come in for the final iteration of engine and gearbox mounts and the cab lift has been done. Dangerous storing stuff under the Goddess from other work. I'll have to charge him rent

Goddess update first. While we've been quiet things have still been happening. New diesel tank fitted and plumbed in Cab raise finished with new wood stringers and extended bolts. You can see the now plumbed-in brake master cylinder and servo to the right. Got wood? We have Front engine mounts and spacers (revision 161). Finished. Engine is coming out for painting. What colour though? Red I think unless anyone wants to suggest something else. Whilst the engine is out the engine bay panels need re-assembling and welding and we'll take the opportunity to rewire her. No point in going for diesel reliability only to keep curse word 50 year-old wiring. And then gentle reader I was BETRAYED!!!! Out with SWMBO doing something pointless like shopping and got a phone call that went "Hey mate, listen to this!" Over Dangerous' candy bar Nokia and my hands-free there came the sound of a high compression bag of spanners having a war. Dangerous couldn't wait for me to return and started her. I had to forgive him because she LIVES and in his opinion she's a sweet as a nut for an unsilenced Cummins of a quarter million miles. Happy days
