Thanks. They're pretty damn good. I can get a 80mph speedo and a four gauge set with all wiring and senders for just over $600 which is manageable. I've been playing on their configurator as below The needles glow red for better contrast when the lights are on. Cheers, Ian

And in other news today. Undoing 16 nuts and straps holding the cab on, employing a jack very gingerly at the corners and jacking up the engine mounts by utilising some very sophisticated 4 by 2's we have this sort of clearance. You can see that we also used another piece of wood as an innovatory go/no-go gauge. Its got about 50mm of clearance with no mods to pedals and steering column so a 2-3 inch lift on the axle will not be excessive to get the rest of the clearance. More neoxylithic technology later.

uuumm, closet I got was a dyslectic neolithic ... Also flyingphil . Where are the standards of education these days? Did no one on Retro Rides do Greek at prep school? Well neither did I, but I did pass one daily on my way to St. Marks Infants and something may have rubbed off. However, Mr. Google is my friend (apart from spamming me with offers of Thai and Russian brides ) and through his auspices we get neo = new xylos/xylon = wood neoxylithic = new wood age Note the pronunciation : NEEO-zylith-IC and not NEE-oxy-lith-IC 10 house points for me

Your Google was better than mine Ian, as the complete word was not recognised....but then I did only two years of Latin at my school.....

That's pretty advanced. That's much more consistent than the 'about 2 knuckles' I employ at work. Maybe I should put forth a request for funding for a piece of 2x4.

I just think that the measurements will be more useful, but thanks for the offer! Also, not being British, I'm not very good at filling out forms OR standing in queues.

I was just going to like this, but quoting is better for effect I like the progress with the goddess, looks like things are falling into place rather than fighting against you

Hmm - hang on a mo, with you being on t'other side of the world from optimusprime, wouldn't his 4x2 become 2x4 by the time it reaches you? Something to do with the world spinning the other way down under - I'm sure I read that's why your bath water goes down the plughole backwards compared to ours? Oh, hello hurse, is it time for my pills?

Another tweak and we're getting there 2 inch lift on the front engine mounts with temporary square tube spacers And with the Cummins jacked up level we get enough clearance that we'll leave the axle raising spacers and extended u-bolts until later Next up alternator mods and plumbing

It looks like the third iteration of gearbox mounts is going to be the final one. We've utilised the original Goddess mounts (again) and the rest is just tacked together. Finished mounts will be reinforced with fillets and an extra layer anti-vibration material.

Coming on, hopefully we will be hearing stories of its heroic performance soon Soon is a relative term. Vacuum, air, rewiring, 12V/24V changeover, propshaft, fuel system and anything else we can think of before it goes on the road. Not estimating when otherwise I'll jinx it again.

Cheers, Jan Hi Jan, Thanks for looking out for the Goddess and please keep following us. We dealt with the 'Killer Dowel Pin' issue back in June 2015 before the interminable fitting and refitting of the engine. Cheers, Ian

Progress being maintained! Positively storming along now Nice work on the lift. Does that solve all the clearance issues now?
