Did wonder why there was a few Vdubs on when i joined. now i know! Funny really as i travelled Manchester via London to RCS 2004 in an '86 Polo. Thats where i discovered the RR stand, see my picture thread. Didn't think it was for me, didn't look though. 2005 i thought i gotta take a look at this, got a flyer for somewhere else. tried that out, wasnt sure about RR at first, due to its business edit busyness and regulars. the rest is history, here i am, busy and regular, don't go to the other place as much, sometimes i get people with VZI style comments like 'Sierras are curse word'! I was looking on the net for my project, but i'm hooked here on a personal level, long live the good vibe.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

That thread amused me greatly ;D I do love it on there, but for totally different reasons to why I love it on here. Sometimes (well, OK quite often) I like to see if they are all as open minded as they like to think, with threads like that. Often with amusing results ;D Oh, and I've been here since the start, and am not planning on going anywhere

Yeah - I found my way here from Volkzone aswell, RR was only the second forum i'd signed up to (after VZi) And is really the only one that I still post upon on a regular basis Love everything about it here... The simple layout, the varied and interesting topics, the fact that the topics are all about the cars & cars only (obviously with a little related banter) But mostly what makes this forum truly great is the people - with your open minded but honest views - theres some great characters too ;D

Initially through RWelfare mentioning it to me when I visited him to buy some magazines, and also through Ratdat posting the PCD chart on an eBay listing for some wheels. Lurked for a bit and decided I liked the open-minded approach to all sorts of cars rarely acknowledged elsewhere.
I've learnt so much about different looks and scenes through the fantastic pool of knowledge contained here.

I first read about it in retrocars. Then mentioned it on a couple of sites and forums that I'm on after i registered. The Skoda boys came aong after that. I love it here. Nobody cares what you drive, and someone has had at least one of them and can offer advise.

I think I joined up after DarrenW mentioned a new and exciting retro site to me when he came to look at my Mk1 Golf GTI for sale.... a few years ago now... memories... ;D As the others say, great forum, great attitude, clearly one of the very best sites on the web.

I heard about it on VZi a while ago, but didn't bother signing up - didn't have a car at the time! Now I have, it seems to be a good place to be internet-wise, though I'll have to try and get over the whole shyness thing I've got going on. Heading rapidly for 3 years on VZi and only 298 posts! The fact that my interest in cars is wider than just VWs is a big plus point for this place.
