I have. For the first time in 2 months the car deemed to start, not leak and run long enough to drive around the block. It may have been short but it certainly was sweet. The feeling that comes when you get in a 44 year old car and drive it is like nothing else especially one that you haven't been able to drive for a long time. The car is running but definalty needs a tune up it wants to back fire and is unwilling to pick up. Although this is great for scaring the neighbourhood kids it isn't brilliant for my exhaust. ;D I shall play around untill its running a bit sweeter then drive it to a friends and stick it on the Crypton machine. It runs so much better after that. So whos been out and had a smile put on their face today by their car and for what reason? Paul

Took the Aston V8 for it's MOT today so yes, might take the Camaro out aswell later...
(failed, as it happens, couple of scabby bits...better crack out the mig at the weekend) but was stull a nice blat with the big old quad cam V8 rumbling away up front
Wouldnt dream of using a retro as a daily anymore, grew out of that a few years ago, i now prefer to preseve and enjoy them when i'm in the mood..

Same here...the SD1 is my only car and it never fails to put a smile on my face. Actually, the first time its let me down in nearly a year was today...turns out it wont run on Air! Mind you...breaking down on a busy road in the town centre certainly cheered a few people up!

Been using the Merc every day, but it'll be gone soon, and I'll be buying something a lot newer so I can sort the other two out! It's nothing to do with reliability, the Merc's been brilliant, but it's the fear that something 'might' go wrong which ruins it a bit Glad your's is working tho Paul

I fired my Imp up 2 weeks ago when it hadn't moved for 6 months. It was such a good feeling. I then replaced a sill and engine and tuned it on a rolling road and just when it looked like it was ready to drive I got a screw through a tyre so I'm now sat waiting for a pair of tyres :-( Sucks but I can't wait to give it a good ragging.

I got my 80 year old to run again today. Good job too as she's going racing on Saturday, and I intend to do well. Will be a year exactly since I sheared the fan pulley, and rung the ignition advance lever, and had to retire from this same event.
OH and also retro dailies are for winners. I doubt my '93 counts though, but I do like driving a leather armchair.

Unusually I drove ickle_Seth to school in the Hillman this morning (we usually walk) as I had to deliver something afterwards.
Herald did its usual 100 mile commute with Mrs_Seth.
