can anyone tell me anything about these?
railway jack
this was obtained by my dad between 1980-82. it was old then. he thinks its a railway jack.
on the top it says genuine trademark barret
on the side it says the duff norton m.f.g. co.

theres an up/down switch and it say duff morton on the lever locator.

its WxDxH is 46x20x60cm. when jacked up on the wratchet mechanisum it goes up around 30cm/a foot.

brought from the army surplace (ruddington) at least 50 years ago.
says rapidor manchester on it.
anyone got a rough idea when they were made or if there anything to do with the industrial revolution? duff started in 1783 or something and ive emailed/bothered their pittsburgh bloke.
