a drifty marina would be cool, it'd need some help in the suspension department Drift Marina? Easy! Buy a Mk2, 3 or Ital with anti-roll bars fitted, drop the rear with blocks, fit a pair of van/estate springs or Grayston leaf assisters, wind down the front torsion arms 1.5" and go play. If you run a 1.7 or 1.8, be prepared for the gearbox to complain loudly after a while and the halfshafts to get a tad loose...... which is why the GT runs a dolly 1850 O/D 'box and MGB axle now....... ;D

I had a marina pick up many years ago we called the gogogadget truck, it ran wih a leaf removed from the rear, escort lowering blocks, a home skimmed head (green flames out of the exhaust and plenty of pinking even with 5 star fuel and octane booster) and the front wound down, we loosened the bars and jumped up and down on the front bumper until it looked about right. I had four spot lights in the grill, four on the roof and two at the bae of windscreen pillar, ice cream van chimes, a Cb with PA system on it and a box of tricks that played animal noises out of the PA speaker. Was bloody terrible really but it went ok.

The thread title says "Obscure rwd stuff" but TBH, as yet I've not seen anything I would consider obscure! To address this issue, here's a couple of Ponys...

yeah charmants are rwd. they're basically just a tarted up ke70 corolla with a plush interior. they're probably about as cool as an obscure rwd japanese car can be. grandad looks with tons of bolt on tuning parts from the ae86, and a production run on about 37 cars in the uk lol! thats why ive jsut bought one and have a 4age sat waiting to go in once its here

I think Gladys is obscure she certainlly drifted a few times in the snow and went places that moderns wouldn't.
Oh and aren't Morris Minors supposed to be really easy to get the tail out on?

Old Morris Minors are wonderful.
Alfa 75 are young enough not to have dissolved already. There is a guy a work who runs ones as his daily. Good work I'd say although parts availability is an issue.

Old Morris Minors are wonderful. I had a stock as a rock Morris 1000 with skinny East German crossply remoulds on it. I could do all the drifting I wanted and still not exceed 30mph!
