Hi guys! So in reality I kinda fancy a K12 after seeing these pics: ![](http://databasejdm.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/u_0026.jpg) ![](http://databasejdm.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/u_0022.jpg) But the price of them means its out of the window, so I want the next best thing: A K11 or a K10! Thing is, which one should I look out for? I'll be doing many trips on the dual carriageways but also plenty around town. Needs to be economical but not dreadfully slow (can you meet in the middle with these things?). Only Micra out of my league is the Superturbo (Because they are all imports), but I can get pretty much anything else providing I find one for sale, so what is the best one or best ones to look out for / get? Thanks ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Fair play then mate, always annoys me how insurance companies try to fleece people, plenty of K10s left and they have loads of potential so take your time in choosing.

Need to invest in an iMac and new camera for uni so looking to spend no more than 3k a year (at the absolute MAXIMUM, including insurance, tax etc etc). Will shop around for quotes soon once I find some Micras I will be interested in having.

K11's are quicker (with the 16v inj engine) other than that, they're near enough identical underneath, so it all really depends on the shape you want. the boxy k10 or the bubbly k11.

Keep in mind that K11 have a better aftermarket offering. Suspension, turbo kits, body kits it is all available for the K11. On the otherhand a K10 is pretty basic and could be fix (and modified) with a spanner , hammer and a little paint.

K11, mine was a great car, a bargain that never let me down and would take a fair beating.

There's a K11 Super S (rev counter dash, slightly deeper smoother bumpers with spots and boot spoiler) on the bay for BIN £550 with 6mts MOT and some Tax.

So looks like if I were to get one, I'd be looking out for a 1.3 K11. The thing is, that entire K11 thread did nothing for me! I just can't seem to like the look of them ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) This worries me, because obviously I want to drive around a car which I like and not just because its cheap, but it looks like it is coming to that stage purely because there isn't much on offer. Thanks for the help guys, I guess we will see what car I eventually get! Rover is sitting off road as of now because its no longer insured but needs to sell so I can get another car!

I quite like the K12's, not to look at much - but It seemed to go OK for a 1.2, that is it kept planted to a 2.0TDI A3 'gunning it' from a standstill to 70 mph....

The micra may have been gunning it but I doubt the A3 was. Just a thought. Oh and for what it matters if I had to choose it would be K11
