Having a lazy afternoon watching old Speed Camera Actions on Men and Motors.
I've just watched in awe a "special" involving two police 3500 SD1s transferring a liver from Stanstead airport to a hospital in central London. They had 34 minutes to complete the journey.
I guess it was during the mid-to-late eighties judging by the cars on the streets. I could go on forever naming all the cars I saw, hundreds of Mk1 Sierras, Cortinas, Avengers and Bedford HA vans everywhere!
The SD1s sounded fantastic through the tunnels on full throttle. The drivers said that they were getting brake fade through the streets in central London averaging 60mph
They completed the journey 4 minutes ahead of their planned time! I need to see it again!
