Used to have one years ago, really miss it. I cling to the hope it's stashed in a barn somewhere. Yours looks great.

... fantastic car - ticks every box for me you're a lucky guy to find one that nice and exactly the right colour combo IMHO.

Currently driving a Renault Wind Gordini as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

Very nice. Whats the mechanical issues...? Well the mechanical issue is this... When driving it home from where I purchased it things started off ok! As I progressed it felt like it was spluttering a tiny bit as the speed approached 60-70mph (or thereabouts!) on the motorway as if it was mis-firing a little... As the journey went on it got worse, little by little, until there was a rather large pop and splutter then it decided it was going to judder and splutter all over the place. Before it cut out, and caused a whole load of traffic, I managed to swing it into a parking bay to let it rest for a while... After a short while I started the beast again and things seemed ok apart from a slight splutter at low revs when you tapped the accelerator. I set off again but after a very short while I realised the problem was there so nursed it to the services where I called the recovery people (I saved a fair few quid on petrol that day!!!)... When I got home (after many hours) the car was taken off the truck and, as I live down a narrow road, I drove the car to where it would be resting and it seemed fine again!!! During this week I took the car out to take some snaps and things seemed fine... I stopped to take the pictures then when I re-started the car it ran for all of 100 metres then cut out, nothing doing!!! It would not start although it sounded like it was just about to fire up, sometimes it would fire up but only for a few seconds before cutting out again... After 10 minutes or so I turned the key and off we went!!! and it has been back at home since whilst I scratch my head thinking what the problem could be I think it is something to do with the ignition (the coil or condensor were suggested by the road-side repair chap) so I will be taking it to a Granada friendly mechanic this week to see what he thinks... In the mean time do any of you good people have any though of what might be wrong with my 'Essex' lump...?!?!?!

i had a simaler problem with a mk 2 granada years ago, that turned out to be the fuel pump.

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you

I had a simaler problem with a mk 2 granada years ago, that turned out to be the fuel pump. One of my thoughts was also a fuelling issue... The spluttering could've been the engine being starved of juice I suppose... I've seen a few pumps on eBay so I'll probably get one to swap for the old original, let's hope that might do the trick...!!!
