Well, i found yet another Opel Rekord c, a 4-door 1700, with 4-speed manual floor mounted transmission. I thought that it had to be damn rusty, so i was hoping for a parts car for my `70. Not so, i would be insane if i parted this one. Except for some bumps here and there, its very nice, hoping to make this my everyday car. If, that is, i find the owner. Wich didnt seem an easy task at all. Oh well, i`ll find her soon enough A real beauty isnt she? ;D

I`m gonna give her an offer on what its worth, and then i will beat her into submission. ;D No, seriously, the little old lady that owns the car is like, umm, whachamacallit, demented. So talking to her will only get me, like, "thank you James, leave the reindeer at the door before you leave, thanks" or something like that, so i`ll go trough her daughter Who are not into cars at all. Should be an easy feat

Oh, and on that whole "horror movie" thing, there`s no way in hell i`m going neat that place at night! Creepy old house, plus there`s a graveyard next door

Here's a Rekord I found in Norway when on honeymoon back in 2002, just near the hotel at the top of the fjord at Skei.

Hmm, i havent gotten in touch with the owner for that yet, what i did get was another one just like it ;D Only a 1900L, with more chrome trim Just needs a new head, and its ready to roll, last EU-control (MOT-thing) was in 2004, so its actually still approved.. Rock on! Pictures when i go get it. Its the same colour as the one above, only with a black roof, used to be a vinyl roof.. I wonder why its painted in that horrible maroon-bloodred colour? I`ve seen lots of old cars in that colour, must be some kind of anti-rust paint or something.. Its originally safari yellow, as this: Inspiration: Now, to find a set of 40mm rear lowering springs for ascona b... I have 55mm for the front.. With that setup, it should get some 90mm lower to the earth oh, and he knew of a 76 celica that possibly was for sale really cheap too

Oh yeah, did i mention i got it for wreckers cash? ;D The seller knew exactly what he had though, but he said he`d rather sell it cheap to someone seeming serious about fixing it, than expensively to some banger fool.. Cool guy
