I've been offered a 1991 Corrado 1.8 16v, low mileage, good condition for around £1k........but I'm unsure if I should go for it (makes more sense for the mileage I do than the Rocco), or if I should keep the Rocco!?!?
Pros:
Quick Probably more reliable Low mileage Safer (I'll be taking 'baby' to / from parents house everyday) Great potential
Cons:
Not exactly retro It's red! Greater servicing costs Worse MPG than the Rocco
What do you guys reckon?

I had the pleasure of having a Corrado G60 for a whole day last month - I LOVED it. Really nice to drive, plenty of oomph, and I think they look really nice too. Definite future retro - they're about on the cusp now, and they respond well to simple styling mods. In my opinion I think they're better looking than the Scirocco, and feel really sporty. I say do it!

Corrado's are lovely cars...
but I'd stick with the 'rocco....
16v Corrado's aren't all that... you need G60/VR6 power for best results...

Corrado is definately retro at heart, and i'm sure you can even put them on classic insurance (Rainking will correct me here i'm sure as it's Abi i'm thinking has mentioned it...) but.... think of the 'rocco. think of it's poor sad eyes when it realises it's never going to get finished. Also remember than Corrado prices are still slowly falling so that £1k bargain in 6 months time might turn out to be a £600 car. There's a dragon green 16v in the trader today for £895, and a mate of mine picked up a fairly tidy 16v for £795. The Scirocco on the other hand is only going to get better with age, specially if you get it to the stage that you're happy with it and have done everything you set out to do. Everyday standard roccos or 'projects' fetch peanuts
