Hot on the heels of Toms Fiesta post I too have a Fiesta question. Ended up with these Ford Lamp brackets for a Fiesta (claimed to be for Fiesta 3), if so they will be used to mount a pair of Hellas on a friends sons '95 Fiesta. However I think (from memory) these are MK3 ESCORT 80 to early 86 era So answers anybody

Might be a long-shot but could you the Ford dealership to cross-ref the part numbers? Don't know how helpful they'd be though - my bro (street) recently had to explain to them what a Mk3 Escort was

Haha, its true! I wanted some bushes for the anti-roll bar, he said he "couldnt picture the mk3 escort".... I went back WITH the anti-roll bar to try and jog his memory.... He started taking pictures of it with a digital camera and invited 4 more bewildered collegues to come and have a look!!! 'Tards! In answer to the question:They look very simular to the mk3 escort ones that i have, but slightly different.... they look like the same mountings though so will probably fit both. Origional new mk3 escort spotlamp brackets fetch alot on ebay, seen them go for £30-ish IIRC

***YET ANOTHER UPDATE ;D*** Had a look in official FORD ESCORT MK3 manual (that I aquired years ago ..two volumes ) and they are in there! So they definitely are for Escort MK3 but thanks to samyboy I wonder if they are for MK2 XR2 as well Still don't see how they are worth £30+ (worth no more than paid ... roughly a fiver IMO ) , looking at them they look easy enough to fabricate/make approximate copies Ah yes the Headlamp shades ...... whoops but then again I was young and it was 1988 ;D ...And note the totally 'naff' colour co-ordinated 'wiper boots' (another 80's 'wally' accessory ) I also fitted ;D ***digs hole deeper and deeper for one's self*** ;D

Yeah i don't understand the crazy prices either.... you can still find them at the scrappy or indeed a hell of a lot cheaper elsewhere, as you did Regarding the modifications on your old white XR- i love seeing stuff like that!! Awesome! ;D
