Oh stop it! The Essex is abit of a boat anchor but is also a bit under estimated. I got a lot more than I was expecting when I put my foot down in the Scimitar I borrowed.
But then again, a screaming sprint also still apeals.
curse word!
Oh well, something to ponder whilst I'm at the altar tomorrow signing my life away (getting married at 3:00pm)

Cheers all, survived the day. Funnily enough, once inside the church Dolly Sprints and Scimitars were far from the front of my mind.
Borrowed a mates old 2 door Range Rover to get there which is also cool and for sale but I'm not going to make things any more complicated for myself!

Change a head gasket in a Dolomite and you'll wish you had the Reliant.. ;D..Although...the dolomite is only half as dodgy as a stag. How about a scim with a 302 Ford V8 ala Will Holmans Capri?,you can buy V8 into Capri kits here in OZ ,so it's a goer!

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

That's the kind of thing I'd do with a Scimitar. The choice of V8 would depend on what's available at the time.
