started on the bodywork today.
first thing was to get the boot to sit flatter. after p*ssing about with the hindges and getting nowhere i just slackened the bit where the latch catches and moved it down a bit. it no longer moves up and down.
second thing was to grind and tar some welding from friday.
then i blew the o/s/f tyre to 100psi to try and stop it leaking (done less than a mile! )
the nsf looked like
the top bit was made of filler. :wow: the indicator hole didn't fall though. :wow: :wow: the tiny bit of scab turned into a hole.
for tunatly the lack of splash guards (missing, presumed rusty) ment i could get easy access.
the n/s/m looked like
the top bits a plate welded in to cover a hole for an extra key barrel. the middle dots are what held the bump strip on (now ground off). the bottom bit is scab.
the n/s/r looked like
id like to say i was suprised the sill was made of filler but i wasn't. i need a sill or possibly some old bonnet.
ended up fillering and fibre glassing various bits, let it set then went home. so it currently looks like
if i was a rich man i'd buy
