i havent posted anything of this on here for ages, usually cos i don't have a camera to hand.
Anyway, the car was bought last Sept and the floor showed the following nice surprises for us.
All the rest of the grot was cut out. Both inner sill sections, the previous repair on the drivers side, the sections behind the crossmember on both drivers and passenger side etc etc
anyway, progress was slow over dec-feb. Ive realised how poorly we work when its so fcuking cold lol.
My mate (whos garage its been in) decided to fit a 5 speed to his midget in time for us to go to le mans which means the 411 needed to be finished - so the last two weekends we battered it, made up a load of new panels and got sticking the beast back together. Theres a load of pics from last weekend somewhere that i will try and get my hands on too.
Its not the prettiest, and it could do with a full strip down and rebuild at some point in its life, but at least it should get us through an MoT now. Next it all needs painting up, some waxoyl underneath, the interior seats and wiring done and ...... maybe she'll run!
finished passenger side
drivers side, you can see the inner sill still needed to go in as did the small panel behind the crossmember
drivers side, again the inner sill is still not on at this point
and heres a shot after the panel that mates up to the crossmember had gone in (and been seam sealed)
it feels so NEARLY there now!!
