like mrsigma says, if its together ish and not rotten its worth 2k all day. the axle has to be worth £500 odd quid and you could easily get another £500 for the xe conversion parts. Its sounds pretty good to me, get some pics up if you get some

If it's otherwise complete, it works and it's baan built well then £2K sounds ok to me
Think of it this way, if you wanted to make it like that yourself, would it cost you £2K?

Can you put it all together in secret too? that would be the real coup de gras....
In my experience, trying to keep treasure secretly hidden doesn't work... someone will always inadvertantly dobb you in ;D

Luyckily, Law only talks to one of my friends...And he happens to be the only friend who isn't into cars so I don't talk about them with him.
I can fit 12 hrs/week in easily...
Certainly not a ready-for-RCS thing but....hopefully not too long.
Just need that garage.

Really depends on condition and spec I have seen some rally logbooked chevette/sunbeams going for around £2000 with engines and ready to run.
Depends what you are planning on doing with it. You could get discs and an LSD for yours from a piazza and then a cage for a couple of hundred if you are just wanting it for road and trackdays. If you are wanting to use it as a stage car then you might be better off getting this otehr one.

Thing is - arches are going to be a pain in the Harris with mine being a 4-door...The temptation is to go for this caged car, which from his description is 90% of what I'd want anyway and either flog my 4-door or use it as a daily.

borrowing money = bad news save up, you'll feel much better for it. i'm doing my fastback up using only money i've got left over every month. so far, in the last 3 years of ownership, i've bought two doors, a full set of indicators, a dashtop and an AA badge. not bad going eh?
