Love 'em Up the boost a little, better dump valve and disconnect the annoying little restrictor gismo that I can't remember the name of and it'll fly. My mates did, stright into a ditch ;D He ran out of talent when trying to show off. We don't call him muppet for nothing.

I see one quite often lowered with wide wheels, looks absolutely brilliant!

Good solid motors. They do rust but it takes for ever to eat through. I wish I had kept my old Hatchback, instead of the convertible I have now. They absolutley fly on full boost. Oh and you can just about squeeze a Volvo 240/7**/8** series intercooler behind that grille. Don't use an MBC ona Saab, tweak the APC (lots of info on the web). You won't die if you crash it too. One of the safest cars on the road.

prices have recently gone up a little. You used to get them for free, or a couple of hundred. Now they are cool again, and you are looking upto £2k for really solid, and £4k for mint (and I mean really mint). Convertibles tend to start at the £1600-2k mark for solid but maybe needing work for the next MOT, like mine. they are a weird car. Even a 1992 feels like a 70's car, because that is when the design was first put together. And that is based on thw 99 which goes back even further. So nomatter how new, it will always feel a bit retro.
