Got a text yesterday from a mate to say that both of our cars were in RETRO CARS Readers rides section, so naturally had to buy a copy ;D Nice mini write up. While in the shop I also paged through the magazine and say MADNESS..... A stunning spread on Bryn's V8 Land Rover . Photography and the whole write up is the best I have seen in a long time. The whole magazine is so on the money, with articles and cars for every taste. WELL DONE Retro Cars, you have a subscriber in that edition. Make the effort guys and take a look, even if you just page through it, but I would suggest buying the mag as it inspires the publishers to keep the quality up where it is. The Land Rover is very low somewhere in this pic....

But surely the point of having a Landrover is to make full use of it`s ground clearance and 4 wheel drive capabilities. I cannot see sense in building such a vehicle that ends up being the opposite of what it should be. ;D ;D ;D ;D

no, it's about being different - the very reason were all on here and not driving 10 year old bland-wagons because to some the purpose of a car is just to get from A to B :-)
I like it a lot, not read the article yet, but it looks great

What with the Dungeon feature a few months back, CelicaV8's car recently, Bryn's regular appearances, A52 feature last month, the awards ceremony covered, various glimpses of peopel on here almost every month and and upcoming article by RR people next month....maybe they should rename it 'Retro Cars in association with Retro Rides' LOL
I'm spending the day with the GF today and as part of that I've offered to take her shopping (eeek!) but with the proviso that I can swing by WHS to pick up a copy of RC and read it cover to cover while stood outside various changing rooms.
I like Retro Cars and is probably the only mag I would buy these days.

maybe they should rename it 'Retro Cars in association with Retro Rides' LOL Just the nature of the world now, it would be like trying to produce UltraVW or VolksWorld without something appearing in there that isn't related to Volkszone. Great to see more RR cars and people around the place, still get a buzz of excitement from seeing it in print magazines. I remember after the first original Retro Cars show going through the coverage in the magazine and finding a picture related to an RR member on every page

So i take it there is a new copy out? The last one i bought had a Dolly and Golf on the cover.
Even my Volvo managed to sneak into that edition, in the Wheels Day events photos, was quite happy with that considering there was some much, much nicer tin there ;D

I'm coming to the end of my 2 year subsrciption to the mag and have been debating myself to renew it
as retrowagen says, its layout is PVW - but then its by the same people so thats expected.. for me there's too much foreign stuff in it and not enough from our own soil - but it is getting better..
everytime i think I wont renew a thread pops up on here and i have to go have a read, so in about 5 mins I'm picking up the phone and renewing the subs - after all, you cant really sit on the loo with your laptop comfortably and have a good poo read in peace.
Big ;D ;D ;D ;D for everyone getting featured too

Shopping trip successfully carried out and Amanda was so quick in & out of the changing rooms that I didn't get chance to read it until I got home! Awesome article Bryn - can't believe it's the first time you've had a car featured! Well deserved though. Should have made cover car IMHO (but I see where Simon was coming from in the Intro) Also, ScoobyPete gets a well deserved mention and a photo on page 102 ;D Is that one of Hux's previous cars on the Rota wheels page? MIB's E21 makes an appearance on P22...and I am sure there are more RR cars in there somewhere.

Thanks for the compliments as ever guys, having the whole feature car experience was ace, plus having Jamie shoot it was a huge bonus.
The biggest thing for me was getting to tell the story behind it though, and getting a text from Steve who built it saying I nailed it.
The mag has a huge potential readership when it comes to potential feature material, so its always hard pinning down the perfect content. It's worth sticking it out though... remember what life was like without retrocars?
*shudder*
