I've got the chance of an MGB GT LE (last of the Abingdon factory cars) for £50! I think it's not too far from roadworthy, any thing I should look out for? It's pewter coloured, with the stag alloys, rubber bumpers, sunroof. The lady has a TVR S to clear as well! I hope to see them this afternoon, camera in hand.

I think at £50 even if it's a complete non-runner rusty nail you can't go wrong. Blag it then stick it in the classifieds of 'Practical Buffer' at £700.

Sills is probably the only thing to be honest, the LE is not really a rare version None of them are in the B series range. If the sills are ok you most of the way there

Cheers, I've had to postpone my visit until next weekend, my central heating has gone haywire - and I haven't told the wife about the car yet......
