Additional Information:
I've got this e39 520i, which is in rather nice condition but my heart yearns for something older. I'd prefer an old Ford but I'm open to anything as long as it's got mot and tax and it's not teeny.
It's in good condition as you can see in the pics. I've just given it a good going over with paint renovator and polish and it's came up a treat and has a deep shine. There's a few very small dents and some chips on the nose. There's a scratch on the drivers side that's been touched in but I've managed to get it to blend pretty well so it's not bad.
There's some service history up to around 55,000 miles then who knows after that. There's no warning lights on and the service indicator has loads of bars left on it.
It's so smooth and quiet and me being used to driving a diesel I keep thinking I've stalled it. I've forgotten how good these things are to drive and although the 520's no ball of fire it drives without any clunks or rattles and does 32mpg.
The only thing that's wrong is there's some fibration under braking so it probably wants new discs.
It's got 16" turbine alloys and all the tyres have good tread.
The interiors in really great shape. There's no rips on the seats or cracks in the dash and it's got a nice silver trim rather than the nasty wooden finish so many of these seem to have.
Spec wise it's got duel climate control (needs regassed) , 4x elecy windows, elecy mirrors, 2 pop out cup holders, trip computer and cruise control.
I've only got the green bit of the v5 just now but the document should be here shortly.
As I'm selling this to fund a new retro I'd be interested in a deal on something like a Cortina, Capri or xr4i as long as it's got a good mot and tax.
It's showing 89k on the clock but I did an mot history check on it and it's got more than 165k on it. It's still very fresh looking and doesn't look like it's done these miles. Drives as an e39 should.
