1970-something? Probably? Runs pretty sweetly, sounds nice with the straight pipe on it. Don't really know what I have planned for it. Anyone know how to code-break Honda frame/engine numbers?

That is very pretty Sammm. For once I hope you manage it sympathetically.
Love the colour, and straight line graphics.

thats nice
always thoguht it was weird how bike manufacturers bothered making so many different sizes. Why would anyone buy a 100 over a 125? Maybe some countrys have there classes of bike at different CCs to other countrys.

Awesome!! How does it run with the pipe? It seems pretty good, but thats only based on some 1st gear car park puttering. Hopefully I'll have a chance to have a poke around over the weekend.

Nicee bike , nearly all orginal too. From what I can tell its just the exhaust, the missing mirrors, the missing side covers and the kick start rubber (which has been replaced by a short length of garden hose). Can anyone tell me what this box is? It has different shaped openings both ends, is empty and appears to serve no purpose? What am I missing?

Had a quick look on google images at "CB100 tool box" and there is on with the same shape end as we can see , so it may well be the toolbox as said above.

Definatly tool box, mine is the same. On the other end of it (the other side of the bike) there should be a cap on it thsat just pulls off, unless of course it is missing

Managed to remove the surface rust/fuel stains from the tank using some ancient liquid cut 'n' polish.
Cleaned a couple of other bits just to give me an idea of how it will all turn out, looks pretty good so far.
No luck tracking down the lens I need, but I have a few other leads to follow.
It seems to be enjoying my semi-regular visits and now starts on the 2nd kick more often than not.

Very cool bike. Is the missing indicator lens possibly shared with the CT110 Postie bike? If so, then they should be plentiful. Have you tried actually asking a Honda dealer? Would it be the same as the ones listed here: www.wemoto.com/bikes/Honda/CB_100_N_NA/78-87/ ?

Should clarify and say that I haven't been able to find a lens that isn't overpriced and/or on the wrong side of the world.
Honda World (our biggest Honda dealer) was the first place I tried and the parts guy did have a dig out the back for me but came up empty handed.
Honda list price was $14.95 and buying an international one on eBay works out pretty close to that.
They are shared with CB125/250/360/400 and a few others as well but tracking down a spares bike could take time.
Universal trailer lenses are just about the same design and are $2 a pop - so that might be the best stop gap.
