Hi everyone, I thought id signed up here as I'm always browsing the forum but I tried to sign in and I guess not so heres my car. Its pretty likely that I will be picking up a daihatsu cuore soon as there are some wheels which need a car fitting to them haha. err its on coilovers, strut towers raise 2" bottom arms up 2" lots done haha. Ill post up some build photos later on

Heres some pictures from the front suspension work, paul at coltech classics is responsible (i wanted welding I can trust) for the fab stuff I just have a continued need to lower things excessively. It then ran for a week or so with temporary control arms bent to take up the new position, shows how much it was raised too. The car already had the obligatory driver side chassis notch, it was now time for passenger side! This is what we did to the front mounts. You cant see it so well but this is the mount all braced and welded up on the other side My car vs. a stock heigh jetta before I wound it down more.. at wheels day Dead headgasket called for a new engine so I chopped the bottom off a sump and got paul to weld it up. Also moved the drain plug to the back so it doesnt get bashed in like it did before. New motor in..(just a mk2 golf 1300 on carbs) Excuse the wiring, it doesn't look like that anymore That pretty much brings us upto date with my car. Apart from that I killed that engine already and I am picking up a polo gt (3f) bottom end tomorrow to build a better motor (going to raise it and run a full size sump and an oil cooler etc). Aparrently these engines don't last long when you drive them to 8.5k all the time lol.

cheers everyone. elpassata - yeah man we got home ok in the end bit of an epic journey and some engine troubles but made it home! nconst - it was running on gsxr600 carbs before but i got frustrated with the slow return and after faffing with springs and stuff for too long i bit the bullet and got some 40s. Picked up a selection of engines today to build a new one from (polo gt 3f bottom end and big cam etc) so that should be fun when its done www.the152.com for the original thread.
