I'm in Bangkok and I've done my research and found Chula Soi 22 - the street with at least 10 wheel shops on it. The first one I went in has two black Watanabe wheels in 14 inch and two in 15 inch. I tried every other shop and I can't find any more. I really want black Watanabes on my Datsun. They're $100 each. Should I buy a mis-matched set and have the 14s on the front and the 15s on the back? Or should I come back to London with no wheels? I am hacked off that I can't find any others!

Lots of clean modern J motors here. I saw a great old CROWN and there's a few lowered pickups but nothing that hot for this site. Forgot to bring a camera so you'll just have to imagine. Sorry.
I still haven't decided.

If you can get them back ... At least get the two 15's as they are rarer and if you decide to sell them afterwards (cause you've changed your mind) you will.

A pair of 15" RS Watanabes in black. No polished lip, no bronze finish, no 0 offset (offset on the ones I am offered is 16mm). They're OK but a set of four would be great. I am really frustrated. I have exactly 75 spare minutes between now and my return to London on Friday night. I've put the feelers out for more wheel shops but I probably won't find any. I'm still pondering.
Can anybody tell me that a set of 14s on the front and 15s on the back is cool? No. So I think I should say no this time and get some Konig Rewinds if I'm ever in the states.
Decisions decisions.

I saw Watanabes on one of these today - Autozam AZ-3 aka Mazda MX3. Was tempted to leave a note for the owner saying I'd swap them for cash, but alas I have none.

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Bought! 15"s are RS Watanabe. 14"s are no brand Watanabe. Both are similar offsets around 20mm so they have a bit of dish. I was offered a set of 14"s in the shop with big offsets and very little dish which I refused. $400 lighter and facing a problem at the airport as I will be over weight on the luggage. The flight will be full. I have a habit of getting charged for this sort of thing. I also don't want to get stopped by customs, although I haven't seen any at Heathrow for so long. If I had more time I'd go shopping for JDM wing mirrors along the street of used parts shops. It should be a goldmine here but I am pressed for time. I'll be back here for three days in May. I'll try to get another pair of 15"s then.
