someone on a farming forum has a problem..........
Hi Folks,,had a dissappointing day yesterday, trying to get an international 784 ,which was the victim of a sabotaged diesel attack. The pump has been off for a yr os so and as far as I,m aware its always been under cover. But after putting a good starter on it ,it became obvious that it was seized. Allowing for the fact,or assuming rather that it had not seized in its last mins of running ,I was curious ,as to what some of you ingenious engineers might tell me could do the trick of unseizing it.
Depends on how badly it has corroded/stuck I suppose,in the old days did they not introduce some diesel into the pots and just keep trying the flywheel with a large bar every now and again? If you could get it to budge a little keep working at it?? Boiling cooking oil ,carefully put in sometimes gets a result I,m told?
Please humour me,I am but a part time spanner man and I love a challenge!!!
can anyone help?, coca cola down the bores has been suggested
