Beat you to it I'm afraid! I don't know how well Fiat Coupes take to being race prepped (aesthetically that is). Loud, brash decals on a really neat and curvy car don't do it for me, personally. Your 'shops look good! What you can do is, on a layer between the wheels and the arches, add a bit of black round the tops of the wheels just to add a little shadow from the wheelarch. Great otherwise! What tiny village near Colchester are you from? I grew up in Coggeshall, then moved to Tiptree (which is a big village actually). Haven't lived in Essex for five years or so now though, I do miss the countryside sometimes.

I think you'll have allready found it, but if you havn't the digimods photoshop bible is a good place for tuts. www.digimods.co.uk/tutorials/tutorials.htmThe best way to improve is to practice. It helps develope your critical eye so you'll see things. You might look at the gap in the arch where the lupo's been lowered and think "right, that should be black", and then further along you might think "that looks too black, make it dark grey" etc. Some of my friends who use photoshop like me seem to dislike using layers, use them as much as possible! it means you can allways go back and edit things without damaging anything else. last thing, never be afraid to try new things there's an infamous photochopper on the web called Roobi (coincidence of course!) he put up a post on a forum showing his first chops and they wern't as good as this. now he's doing stuff like this.. which is all brushed and imo very cool. but he did that through practice and by helpfull forums like www.carchops.com/ (personal fave). i'm sure they'll help you out two, it's only a hobby for most of these guys so there's no rush to be submitting all the time. i'll stop before this post becomes an advert. nice first chops btw ;D

You know, apart from practising, the most useful thing you can do is to look at pictures and understand how light affects a scene.

I know what you mean, especially when finding wheels to put on the images and the light looks compltely different. I think the 350z wheels were a bit too shiny for the car :/

Well, as a jobbing graphic designer I'll give you a pat on the back and say well done mate - you're definitely on the rights tracks. As every body else has said, just keep chipping away - practice makes awesome and all that

Ford Focus RS Mk1 - hello low MPGs and "wanna race me" at every set of lights... 1973 BMW 2002 - Twin 40's, 284 Cam, Revolutions, E21 Recaros + more Porsche Cayman 987 3.4S - here and due to cost me more money than I have
