I could be Proboards tinkering,.. they are lining up a major upgrade apparently, so who knows what they will do to the forum. I maye just get a proboards -> phpBB or similar script to run against the board, just in case they break something and we need to move.

I'll have a look on their support forums,.. I'm tempted to bail on proboards.. but we've got so much invested here that it is VERY hard to move.

its a shame they had to mess with something that worked fine. no problems at all until the 'upgrade'!

There's another thread here with a similar thing - I found it started first on my iPhone, it takes so long to connect ot any proboards now that it just has a spas and refuses to even think about proboards. Then I hit the PC and it was taking 10mins to load a page! I was looking at the proboards support page - that was a load of help alright! Wrecking my head at this stage, same on the GF's laptop, my folks computer.....................frustration levels rising

Okay folks, I'll get on with looking at a possible transfer to a phpBB based system, although I'm not much of a php person and would rather a .NET based solution if I were to be moving the forum to my main host.
I wonder if it would be any more stable on my host, given the bandwidth we use. It could be a road to ruin for me! haha
