this is my '67 sidewinder beach buggy, built by myself in my little old garage. now running a new 1641cc big bore with an engle 110 cam and twin weber 40 idf's. facet fuel pump with a pressure regulator set at 3.5 psi. ceramic coated merged exhaust with a bike can now fitted, without baffles. lowered front beam suspension ( adjustable) custom seats made by a craftsmen who works for bentley motors. these are fixed in position, so if your not over 6' tall you cant reach the peddles. motor now run in, soon testing and tuning will begin to get old boomer to wheelie...........watch this space. simon

That's fantastic! So clean, and yet so much fun. I love it, I bet you can't drive it without having a smile on your face. Especially if it does wheelstands!

the metalflake is actual glitter thet your kids would throw around the lounge carpet! it is set in the clear gel coat in the mould when it is being made.
thanks for the compliments, but it is the genius Mel Hubbard that deserves the credit. he is the beach buggy master when it comes to turning out these shells.
give him a google. and see what he does.
the body is a sidewinder swb.

At what point does a vehicle stop being a car with a sound system and trun into a boom box with an engine? You could disturb flight patterns with those subs!

There are actually 4 6x9's in there and the 2 subs. Total 9000 watts. It does sound good, oh and it has it's own battery for the shows!

Hello again, just saw the beach buggy on Google pics from years ago and thought I would update the thread.
The buggy is still owned by me and is running good. Basically the same but now with 10" angels on the back with 295 tyres. She has won a few awards as well.
