Looks pretty quick. What engine have you dropped in it now, if you don't mind me asking?

its a half breed it just a gt bottom end with a coupe s head, as I'm running carb still, and she has a 1400 16v gearbox, which is acting like it has a lsd in so who knows.
I was gonna use full gt engine but i cant as it need the fuel reg that runs thought the head, i don't know if I'm talking right,
Will have some vids of the new engine soon

Hmm....I wonder what would happen if someone informed Hertfordshire constabulary of people videoing themselves doing over 100mph on the public highway...
Ban for definite...Custodial sentance? Possibly...

that's awesome, and I love your car, get those vids on CS now . Penski, I can see where you are coming from, but we've all seen the videos of the black volvo's drifting on europes highways, and I'm sure we don't get up in arms about them , the poor girl actually has a real interest in cars, and ger car is VERY cool, she's doing the right things to the right type of car. As said, I can see your point, but I do similar (not saying where and when) on a fairly regular basis, I know the risks, but I do it anyway.

Cool! 1 word of caution.... don't do that too often on the Herts stretch of the A1. They're devious buggers down there & there's a lot of feds patrolling it, day and night. I know ALOT of folk who've been clocked & severely repremanded along there (my brother in law finished up on a 6 month ban) Once you get past the 'motorway' section though, it's a bit of a free-for-all

Sounds cool. You considered using the ABD engine. It is a 1.4 from mkIV polos, mk3 golfs, and Seat Ibizas. I am told that the block and head are almost identical to the gt block, but you get loads more torque, and a few more ponies too. I haven't seen it done myself though, so I am not entirely sure what they run like. Looking and sounding cool as it is though, seems to be coming on pretty well.

You seem to be right off the clock on the speedo, but in the brief glimpse of the other traffic you seem to not be making much headway on them. Is your speedo correct?

ABD? Not heard of that one, neither has ETOS? Any more info
Hows about a 16v head on the 1300 bottom end - very popular in the Berg Cup / Gruppe H

ABD? Not heard of that one, neither has ETOS? Any more info Hows about a 16v head on the 1300 bottom end - very popular in the Berg Cup / Gruppe H The ABD engine is just a 1.4 8valve single point injection, but i am told it is almost identical to the polo gt (multipoint injection) engine. Some people with polo gt's use the ABD block and head with the gt inlet manifold, dizzy, ecu etc. the ABD is 60bhp, the gt engine is 75bhp, but using the ABD with gt dizzy and inlet manifold can make 90 odd horses apparenlty. It is also supposed to have loads more torque than the gt engine, although I doubt this would be that beneficial with a carb, as it is the multi point injection gives the power increase over single point. Worth researching on some polo forums for more info though, as I haven't tried any of this myself.

I don't wanna do that, i was gonna use my gt bottom end, with a coupe s head as i wanna stay carbs, but thank you for the info.
But ive now killed my coupe s engine, well someone did for me they sheered my camshaft :@
so now I'm having a gt engine on r6 bike carbs, just waiting for the person to call to say when ok to go collect.
On the first vid she is pulling up hill, and i didnt use my gear correct, and on the a1 it was clear, and i did do it in a safe place, i know were the cameras are were not to and were to speed.
I do pull away from traffic, but when she is reving her nuts on a 4 speed box, after certain rpm she tends to take a while to get there, and yea my speedo is correct.
And hay ho, I'm sure you will see new vids of baby soon.
