Whooops! I was window shopping big old bargey yank tank convertibles on Ebay USA . This one was (dangerously) close to a port  just then my mouse.. sorta jumped up from the desk and hit my finger. Doh!  I am picking it up from Southampton docks tomorrow, so I will be able to see what I've actually let myself in for! Update: Pic of car in uk  |

Its a 318 V8. I've seen several of these for sale but they're either
individual seats (don't like, i want bench)
floor shifter ( i want column)
black interior (i don;t want to fry my ass in the sun)
big block (i don't like big blocks, only smallblocks)
Wasnt TOO expensive, but once you add the shipping, duty, vat, handling, blaw blaw, it isn't exactly cheap

It's a shame it isn't 11 years older, then you could get it resprayed red and call it Christine, lol.
She certainly does look good though, I wish I had the cash/balls to import a Camaro of any vintage.

meh, been there, done that, had the 69 Charger R/T now I want to be an old man and wallow about with me drum brakes, no antirollbar and 2.7:1 Diff! Anyways, I went to the docks and saw her in the flesh for the first time.  I slapped on some plates and drove her home (I mean to a prearranged MOT officer) and she ain't bad! Lots of niggles (electrical, few odd rattles, squeaks, steering sectorshaft seems a bit overtight, rear springs are a bit soft and the convertible top mech needs some investigation but.. overall, compared to some buying experiences.. not too bad. Especially since It had enough petrol in it to get me all 90 miles home. Will post up some more pics soon. |

White top matches white interior. Plan is to use this while I restore the other one (and I can see how it all goes back together as I will have something to refer to! )
THis car is almost identical to my other one, main difference is this one has air conditioning. (ok so the pump is in the boot but still)
Plan is to eventually sell this one once the other one is finished and back on the road. Might not be for a year or two.
