I've yet to see this famous car in the metal. What a staggeringly cool car it is. Has it been owned / developed by the same guy throughout its modified life?

I've yet to see this famous car in the metal. What a staggeringly cool car it is. Has it been owned / developed by the same guy throughout its modified life? Nah gone through a few different hands. Pip Biddlecombe built it originally with a blown Daimler Hemi, then Steve Potter built it into a full on Pro Streeter. It then fell off a trailer it was being towed on and the current owner got hold of the body after it passing through a few hands iirc. Looks awesome with the new additions, the interior is perfect. I love it and love what it's turning into, not sold on those headlight surrounds and the steering wheel thing just screams "look what I can do" while forgeting that it actually has to be used too steer the thing!
Bur the rest, the 4 banger, bare steel and orange, the hemi cam cover, the seats.... Love it!

great car - i love the 'unashamed' look - like the chopped dash most people would smooth over the welds give it a lick of paint, but this shows it how it is - 'i took a dash and made it fit, see'

Last time I saw it, it had a 1.4 k series with a funky hemi rocker cover, completely changed the look of the engine.

See, for me, Rubellion will always be a Candy Burgandy (i think) V8 rod, and looked perfect as it was back in the '90's when it was on my bedroom wall !.
Don't get me wrong however, because i DOO like what it is now, as there's a lot of new and sideways ideas, I would have just prefered them to be built into a new car, but then, hey, it's not my car is it !

Wow, I haven't seen it yet in its current guise! Fantastic, such a lot to take in as you say Alistair. I love the orange details throughout the car, it's just getting wilder and more unique with every evolution The orange perspex roof is something I was toying with on my P6 for the future as they're bolt on.... It looks damn cool!

ITs always been such a cool little car. The Daimler Hemi looked brilliant in it but I like the current set up too. The orange plexi roof changes the interior so much! Love it, and that dash so suits the car.

Yep, love it, but that interior hurts my eyes on the photo, I think I would start hallucinating if I actually sat in it

Christ how did i not see this thread the first time round lol....
as for the builder (initial) pip biddlecombe, My dad knows him, Him and his brother used to hang out with the guy when they were all driving custom stuff... Hes not at all into rods now... owns his own buisness and keeps his head in his work by the seem of it... its definatly changed a bit since its first incarnation tho... we have some pics somewhere of it originally....
