Don't know if that's exactly a car like it but Dale who's the owner of Porsche of Santa Barbara had an ex Hurley Haywood Bob Tullius's Group 44 Racing Audi 5000 Trans Am car sitting in the dealership just for show, one wet night at the Elephant Bar at Santa Barbara Airport we got to talk about it, I wanted to drive it and Dale said, shure why not, tomorrow I'll come by and pick you up!!!, next morning as expected no Dale, some weeks later I dropped by the showroom and we got to talking, he did not remember right away but if I said that lets do it!!!. Dale runs out in the shop to ask wo can get it started and sure one of the mechaincs came out with batteries and fresh fuel, cranked it for a while and WROOOOOMMM! it started. Dale rolled it out in the forecourt and started running up and down an industrial road, coming back with a huge smile, you wanna drive it?, I said thanks but no-thanks and he went off again, this time leaving the industrial park. He came back after a while and said, I must do this more often....

Another wet night at the Elephant Bar Dale told a story getting pulled over by Santa Barbara's Finest in the Audi driving it with "delaer plates" and getting away with it, if that's true we'll never know but he drove it to the Santa Barbara Concourse a couple of times, wonder if it's still there, sadly Dale's not......
