That blokes just built my idea. While I was on the loo earlier I thought "I bet nobody is stupid enough to have stuck a 200SX motor into a Hunter yet". He's an Aussie, right? LOL

Rmad and I knocked around the idea a while ago of doing a nice cleaned/euro style Hillman Hunter... dead cheap to pick up, fit the right rims and get it low and your most of the way there.!

PPP172M comes back as "Vehicle Status Not Available" yeah I checked too - I guess it died a long while ago - signs weren't good when in the first week of it's life it seized the engine - things didn't get much better from then in fact it got a whole lot worse!!!

why bother "welding" a rusty Hillman Hunter when a brand new rust free Shell can bought in ....Iran ;D ;D ;D PS " Hunter " and "Arrow" were both Rootes Group Copyrighted names, the Persian word "Paykan " means "arrow" ...trivial I know... ;D

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

Brilliant cars a rival to the MK2 Cortina (IMO the Hunter did not rust as bad/quick as the MK2 'Tina) My Father had two 'Minx' versions, both of which got badly smashed up/written off in road accidents (not his fault!). I suppose Iran isn't all bad

^ Sweet car... vom-inducing wheels though! Don't suit the car at all IMHO. Loving the red 'un with the SR20DET lump. Mental!

They stopped making the Pekan in Iran sometime last year. Its a pity because they use the Avenger engine With a nice 5-speed box.
Someone was using one on the strip at RCS last year, anyone get any pics of it??
