I picked this up at the local tip last week, but it does not have the cover/protector on the blade, not an issue, but I prefer them on. Does anyone have a "dead" grinder to strip the guard off, prefer free of course, and thought I would try here. Alternately, any ideas as to where I should start looking, as have consigned it to the shed till it is safer. PM please if you can help. Cheers, Rian

Rian, I've left a response in your other thread asking for a guard in the wanted section.

My grinder tried to suck my finger between the blade and the guard...i was wearing gloves, but i ended up with a small chunk out of my finger.....The guard came off after that!

Guards are for people that don't need grinders to fit in awkward spaces! Or for people who want to run the correct size discs on their grinders...

don't you just put the wrong size disc in anyway, and wait for it to 'clearance' the guard by itself? ;D

I'll move this back into the wanted section where it belongs ;D LOL....No worries Steve, I asked the question in open forum knowing it would sink quickly, but maybe not before I had got an answer. It is almost ready for the cats by now.
