Okay this is a little less retro, but interesting for engine swapping peoples,..
I found an article in Car and Car Conversions (RIP) from last May about a guy with a Vectra GSi, he was a bit of a Vauxhall junkie and found out that the 3.0 Cadillac Seville engine is in fact a bored and stroked version of the original X25XE (2.6 V6 GSi engine).
Thought it might be of interest to those considering bigger Vauxhalls,..
Or even just to think about, be interesting to sort out a family tree for Vauxhall/GM/Holden/Opel parts and interchangability!
