I picked this up at the local tip yesterday, but it does not have the cover/protector on the blade, not an issue, but I prefer them on. Does anyone have a "dead" grinder to strip the guard off, prefer free of course, and thought I would try here. PM please if you can help. Cheers, Rian

It's a B&Q make so might be worth asking if they can get spares for them? This size of grinder is not commonly bought and you may well find that guards from other makes won't fit (different sized collars) and I think you're going to struggle to find someone who has a guard just sitting around? If it was one of the smaller grinders then you'd probably have a lot more of a chance.....

Hi Bruce, you are right, but I am kinda pisssed with B&Q at the moment, as they cleverly change suppliers etc regularly, so my pressure cleaner lance which has worn out, now not stocked anymore, oh and the maker is in Italy, not sure you will get hold of them.... Here - Buy a new one. I will use it as it is but the one I have that I bought is almost new, so when it dies, I may just pilfer for parts.

Well I never saw this one coming.
Went to use the A52 'monster chomper' 9" grinder today. Nothing! Ash kindly stripped it down to diagnose the problem, rebuilt it, plugged it in.....nothing! Dead.
Guess who now has a spare guard going free? ;D
PM me your address and I'll get it in the post for you.
