Model: Vauxhall Chevanne
Year: 1977
Tax: no
MOT: no
Location: Clevedon
Price: £300
Additional Information:
I got hold of this rare beast with the intention of fully restoring it and making it into a cool retro estate.
But I'm now unfortunately in a position where i need to sell it as funds wont allow me to do what i wanted to do.
It has no MOT and no Tax although i cant see it needing much work to get it MOT'd
The car has already had loads of work carried out to it including fully rebuilt 1300cc engine with ported and polished head. (have loads of photos and receipts to back this up) although since the engine work the car hasnt been properly driven so i expect it could do with a good warm up to clear it out.
The body has had a load of work too including lots of new panels, although the previous owners attempt at welding and filling are something to be desired! In all honesty i had planned to cut it all out and start again as the welding is awful.
The only panels that need replacing are the passenger door, and also the rear tailgate. - I have excellent condition replacements that i will throw in with the car
The brakes have been uprated to Volvo vented discs, and big calipers which means standard wheels wont fit over them, so a set of Cavalier 15" alloys have been fitted, (i will include standard 13" steels)
We have had it on the ramp and inspected the underside and it is in very good condition and should not require hardly any work.
The suspension has been lowered on unknown springs (i assume Cavalier) and uprated shocks.
All in all its an old retro car and a fair ammount of work is to be expected to get it to excellent condition, i have been told it is 1 of 6 chavannes as most were estates and not the panel van that this one is. How true that is i don't know as i know hardly anything about Vauxhalls.
I also have boxes and boxes of spares for the car and will let all this go aswell as i have no use for them.
I have been open about the car and have nothing to hide and will answer any questions best i can
If seriously interested and want to come and view it for yourself then let me know. After a quick sale really to get it out my way ....i have absolutely no idea what this is worth as i cant find any others for sale but if it is as rare as i believe then i would imagine it be worth a nice packet when restored....
