A mate of mine has just bought a 1970 Triumph Herald 13/60 locally for £100. He's considering turning it into a track day car. Has anyone got any pics to give him some motivation or could someone photoshop a pic of the car?

A track day car, hmmm... Has he actually driven it yet LOL. The rear suspension on these is famous for its tuck-under and positive camber. I guess you can find out what they did to the GT6 and so forth which share similar rear ends and also are swing-arm but don't have the same "issues" AFAIK.

You do not really want to race a Herald, you'll just flip the damned thing all the time ;D Kudos if he does though, bigger kahunas than me! Nightmarish suspension at the back! I don't know if you can do rotoflex conversions (best GT6 setup) to a Herald, could find out Stops the wheels falling off too, to boot.

I actually owned one of those for a very brief time but keep forgetting about. ;D
I don't really think they are cut out for track day enjoyment I am not saying it wouldnt be fun but just not the normal fun you would expect. I know of an old fella who used to autotest one and no one could beleive the mad suspension angles and wheel positions it used to end up in.
Later Spitfire suspension would improve matters.
