I didnt wanna do this as ive only owned the car since christmas:-
am selling my 72 Marina coupe 1.8......its registered as a TC with DVLA but am being totally straight about it that the oily bits of an original 72 TC coupe (now incredibly rare......a dozen or so cars still around of that model) were added to a good solid slightly later shell when the TC got too rotten to do anything wi
This car was professionally resprayed in harvest gold last year to a good standard & had new front wings, wheelarch repair sections & a repaired front panel at the time.
the engine is mgb spec & may have been breathed on a little as when I had the carbs off recently I noticed that the inlet manifold was very accurately matched to the head/gasket & seemed smooth to my inquisitive finger!
the previous owner spent loads on this car.....woodford uprated trunnions, NOS rear shocks, new clutch with refaced flywheel, new battery, non mg logo alloy rocker box, electronic ignition etc etc
to this I have added K&N's & AAA rich needles.....it goes real well! ;-)
MOT is November, tax is exempt as its 72 registered.
Bad bits.....very little, one wing was aligned with the bonnet & not the door & is not the worlds best fit....i may be being picky
Scratch on scuttle under screen......only through top coat...done during re-assembly...barely noticeable.
Rip in top of rear seat....approx 4" but ruins for me an otherwise very good near 40yr old interior
Drives very well & I do at least a hundred miles a wk in her......drove her 200miles home the day I bought it.
If this was a "matching numbers" totally original car it would be worth a hell of a lot more than I'm askin...or if you bought a similar car n bought it up to this standard it would cost loads more.
PIcs in a mo
Am looking for £1100 o.n.o.....would consider a retro p/x upto £600 ish against that price
any questions....just ask/pm.....if u want to chat about it I can pm my number
