;D ;D I did something I've never done before, after my weekend of setback, and the fact both my vans are parked outside some council garages in Oakhams "not so pleasant" area, I decided to employ (and I use the term loosly) a couple of mates to fit up my engine/box to my brown caravelle wedgie, I'm at work 9-5 so I don't often get the chance to work on the wagons and I didn't fancy leavin them there without something happening for fear of vandalism. Yesterday, she fired up, with the weber on too ;D, although I need new inlet gaskets as she's leaking a little around this area, but she ran beautifully, so I'm told. All that remains, is the last bit of the spaghetti that VW called an engine bay wiring loom, and the final dressing of the coolant system with a decent bleed and some fresh 'freeze, we are rolling again. The van looks like the cross between a rat look wedge and a euro look golf, on 7j Porsche cookie cutters with far too much rubber on them, sitting proud of the arch some , but its cool, the fat wheels, low stance and chrome bumpers offset with the ratty paint make for an awesome combo. Yes yes, pics, I will, when I have had a blast in it ;D

I've got some pics of the grey one pre butchery @ www.zen16617.zen.co.uk/van/bus.html this place, I want to go for a different look with the grey one if I do it, just to prove I can do "clean" and "tidy" rather than ratty.

The brown/beige van looks the schizzle on cookie cutters, really liking it. Oh and i think I can see hand prints in the ankor wax.
The other one looks tidy inside too, and looks pretty stripped on the inside, so is quite a blank canvas, so to speak. But get it slammed as soon as.

Lovely lovely ! Just finishing off a whole brake system overhaul on mine ! new calipers, teflon brake lines, new copper pipes...etc...... will haul it down from 55 mph nicely... How much you want for the donor ?! What sort of state is it in ?

Looks great... if it were mine (which it isn't) I'd go larger and wider at the back and drop the front a bit more... full on rake!

Looks great... if it were mine (which it isn't) I'd go larger and wider at the back and drop the front a bit more... full on rake! The rear rubber is too large as it is really!, touches the door, so I need to extend the hinge. Rake is something I love, BUT is really isn't good on wedges cos of the brake bias valve, it's load sensitive, and it'll over brake the back if you aren't careful. Plan is prob put front rubber on the rear, and 185/55 on the front, it'll probably push the nose down a touch The wheels are 7jx15" front and rear, I could extend the door hinge and look for some wider rears Will paint the lips and see what it looks like. Thrasher, I keep getting offers on it, and I'm still in two minds, its bloody solid, you are welcome to come and see it and make an offer, like all things, everything is for sale at a price, but are you willing to pay what it's worth to me
